What do you know?
welcome to my conclusion circa 2003
and yet, here you are.
well yeah, just because you realize it doesn't mean you can resist it!
If I answer you, am I part of the problem or just angry about such things as well?
No, you're fine! I'm just trying to make an effort to not dig for compliments and that sort of thing. Blogs should be about showing people what you see, not trying to get them to appreciate you.
I agree. But don't get rid of your blog, elsewise how would I see your pretty pictures or get ideas for children's books for all of my pregnant friends? :-)
Actually, that's the beauty of all the online networking sites and social media tools out there: You can use them however you want. I would agree that most people do use them for "vain" reasons, but I still think the positives outweigh the negatives for a balanced person. If it weren't for Facebook, I would have lost touch with my British flatmates. Because of it, I am quite close to two of them, still (same goes for all my friends all around the country). My blog is more of a live journal than anything because I use it to keep in touch with people far away: YOU. Kat, Thomas, etc. =P Maybe that does make me vain, but I appreciate staying in touch with people I care about.
